RN - PACU We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The RN - PACU will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role involves effectively delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes, and demonstrating sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. The RN will actively participate in achieving the department's strategic goals, maintain professional accountability, and support the company's nursing philosophy. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive post-operative patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assess learning needs of patients and families; implement tailored teaching strategies. Lead and coordinate nursing team resources; communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members. Utilize data and clinical information to evaluate patient outcomes and implement necessary changes. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards including infection control and safety protocols. Maintain awareness of current federal, state, and local healthcare laws and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, ideally in a PACU or perioperative setting.
Certifications:
Required: Current RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, PALS certification. Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area.
Skills:
Proficiency in computer and software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Physical and Environmental Demands: This role involves physical activity including exerting force to move objects, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues, and working directly with patients who may have communicable diseases. Shift: 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM (overnight, 24-hour shift coverage) Start Date: 04/20/2026
