Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing recognized assessment tools and observational methods. Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver targeted speech therapy individually, focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to ensure holistic approaches to patient care. Facilitate education for patients and their loved ones to enhance therapeutic progress outside clinical visits. Participate in select inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatment options to ensure seamless care throughout the patient's recovery journey. Keep precise and prompt records in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Engage in continuous learning and professional reflection to remain at the forefront of speech-language advancements. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA is still pending. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment. Skills
