Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and thorough observations. Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate challenges and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Implement individualized speech therapy techniques focusing on communication skills, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions. Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to design cohesive treatment strategies. Provide guidance and education to patients and their families to aid their progress outside of clinical settings. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to maintain continuity in patient care. Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field through education and collaboration with peers. Requirements
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills
