Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication or swallowing objectives. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focused on communication, language acquisition, fluency issues, voice modulation, and swallowing assistance. Engage in teamwork with physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to devise cohesive and effective treatment strategies. Empower patients and their families through education, fostering progress beyond the therapy room. Participate occasionally in inpatient assessments and speech therapy interventions, promoting seamless care continuity for every patient. Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with colleagues. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet achieved ASHA certification. Certifications
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment. Skills
