Endoscopy Technician - Travel Contract Position This is a 13-week contract position. Day Shift: 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) with flexible start times. On-call required with a 45-minute response time for activation. Estimated 132 hours per month of on-call duty. Weekends: Every other weekend. We are seeking a qualified Endoscopy Technician to join our large endoscopy department in a level two trauma, tertiary medical center. The position requires advanced therapeutic training and experience in endoscopic procedures for a diverse patient population including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Responsibilities:
Assist with endoscopy procedures including general and advanced therapeutic techniques. Support high-level disinfection (HLD) of endoscopic equipment and instruments. Prepare procedure rooms and maintain supply inventory. Assist physicians during intra-procedural tasks. Handle biopsies, scope reprocessing, and other technical responsibilities.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
1 year of experience in an Endo/GI lab. Certifications: BLS, MA-C, Surgical Tech Certification, or Nursing Assistant Certification required. Preferred experience with USAP MAC Sedation Tech endoscopy procedures.
