Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing personalized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians (depending on your credentials) Guiding patients and families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and management techniques Prescribing treatments and medications in accordance with your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic health issues Working with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical record systems (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licenses and Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Tennessee National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an applicable specialty equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days) Attributes That Make You Shine
