Conduct thorough assessments of patients, order necessary diagnostic tests, and craft personalized care plans Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians when needed Educate patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and effective disease management Prescribe medications and therapies within your professional scope Engage in patient follow-up and oversee chronic care management Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and coordinated care Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using electronic medical systems (EMR) Education Background Required
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Necessary Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in North Carolina National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialization Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve this within 90 days) Skills That Make You Shine
