Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing standardized assessments and observational insights. Create individualized treatment strategies targeting short-term objectives and long-term communication or swallowing enhancements. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions emphasizing all aspects of communication, language skills, fluency, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Provide education and resources for patients and families to support their progress beyond therapy sessions. Engage with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining a seamless continuum of care. Document therapy progress accurately and promptly in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills
