Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational methods. Design individualized treatment plans targeting specific short-term and long-term needs in communication, language, and swallowing. Administer tailored one-on-one therapy sessions focused on improving communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions. Work in tandem with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless patient care. Educate patients and their families, equipping them with strategies to support their progress beyond the support of clinical sessions. Infrequently engage in inpatient therapy assessments and interventions to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all relevant regulations and organizational standards. Maintain professional development by engaging in continuing education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment. Skills
Strong command of evidence-based practices for treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in diverse populations.
