Perform complete patient evaluations, order essential diagnostic tests, and develop personalized treatment plans. Identify and manage acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, working alongside physicians or autonomously based on your credentials. Educate individuals and families about health promotion, disease prevention, and effective self-management. Prescribe medications and therapies within your licensable scope. Engage in patient follow-ups and chronic care management. Collaborate on interprofessional teams to guarantee holistic patient care. Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR). Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Required Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California. National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in your specialty. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or the ability to secure within 90 days). What You Bring to the Table
