Conduct thorough evaluations of children, adults, and seniors using established assessments and observational methods. Create and implement tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate and long-term communication and swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, speech, and swallowing. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure comprehensive care. Educate patients and families to facilitate progress and aid understanding beyond appointment times. Provide occasional inpatient care that maintains the continuity of therapy across care settings. Keep accurate records that adhere to organizational and regulatory protocols. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain informed on advancements in the field. What You Need to Succeed
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified. Essential Certifications
State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferably possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment. Key Skills for Success
