À propos
TFLI is a leading global lead generation business, specialising in data-driven customer acquisition at scale. We own and operate two powerful brands — *CommercialExperts.com*, helping SMEs source better deals on essential products and services, and *ConsumerExperts.com*, connecting consumers with trusted providers across multiple products.
Across both brands we operate over 40 bespoke product websites and support more than 90 team members across our offices in Tytherington, Macclesfield and Austin, Texas. We build high-quality bespoke tools for marketing data analysis and sales growth — and we're growing fast.
About the role
As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to drive quality and requirements excellence across our products while leading and developing our QA and Business Analysis team. You'll be the technical authority on testing and requirements — setting standards, solving hard problems, and making sure your team has the direction and support they need to do their best work. This is a role for someone who loves being close to the work just as much as they love growing the people around them.
What you'll do
Team leadership
* Lead, support, and develop junior and mid-level QA and BA team members day-to-day
* Conduct regular 1-to-1s, provide constructive feedback, and support career development
* Set clear expectations, review work output, and maintain team standards
* Act as the first point of escalation for technical and process challenges within the team
Manual testing & quality
* Define and own test strategies for new products and major feature changes
* Identify high-priority test areas, focusing on critical business processes and high-impact features
* Perform root cause analysis on defects and work with developers on fixes and prevention
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements and acceptance criteria into testable scenarios
* Identify process improvement opportunities and propose practical recommendations
Business analysis
* Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria, reviewing for ambiguity and gaps
* Ensure business needs are accurately translated into technical requirements
* Challenge scope, requirements, and design where needed to protect quality and delivery
Test automation
* Design and build Playwright test frameworks for new products from scratch
* Define automation best practices, favouring resilient selectors and maintainable structures
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for fast, continuous feedback
* Maintain and improve test suites to reduce technical debt over time
API & performance testing
* Define API test strategies and automate API tests within CI/CD
* Validate complex workflows and integrations
* Design jMeter performance test plans, analyse trends, and recommend improvements
What we're looking for
* Solid hands-on experience across manual testing, Playwright automation, API testing, and performance testing
* Experience leading or mentoring QA or BA team members, with a genuine interest in people development
* Strong business analysis skills — comfortable writing, reviewing, and challenging requirements
* Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows
* A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to raise issues and drive improvements
* Clear communicator who can work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
*What We Offer:*
Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
Collaborative and supportive team environment where performance is rewarded and ideas are welcome
Clear progression opportunities within a rapidly growing global business
Modern office environment in Macclesfield, with public transport links from the train station
*Employee Benefits:*
Casual dress code

Gym membership contribution
On-site parking
Exclusive perk: Regular chances to win tickets to major events and live performances at Co-op Live, Manchester’s newest entertainment venue
Benefits:
