Cloud-Native DevOps Consultant for Cost and Performance Optimization Aug 3, 2025 - Senior $5,000.00 Fixed Project Overview: We are seeking a consultant to audit and optimize our cloud infrastructure using cloud-native best practices. The goal is to improve performance, enhance scalability, and reduce unnecessary costs on our AWS environment. Business Problem: Our cloud bills are increasing without a proportional increase in performance or efficiency. We are not fully leveraging managed services or automated scaling, leading to wasted resources and potential downtime. Business Path After Completion: We will have a more efficient and cost-effective cloud infrastructure. Our systems will be more resilient, scalable, and manageable. The reduction in cloud spend will allow us to reinvest in other areas of the business. Freelancer Responsibilities:
Conduct a full audit of our AWS services and usage. Propose and implement optimizations using serverless technologies (Lambda), managed databases (RDS), and auto-scaling groups. Set up comprehensive monitoring and alerting for resource utilization. Identify and correct misconfigurations that lead to security or performance issues. Document the new cloud architecture and optimization strategy.
Required Expertise:
Extensive experience with AWS services and architecture. Knowledge of serverless computing (Lambda) and managed services (RDS, SQS). Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana). Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization techniques. A detailed audit report and a proposed action plan. Measurable results in cost reduction and performance improvement. Regular status meetings to discuss progress
Who We're Looking For: An experienced and data-driven cloud consultant with a strong focus on efficiency and cost management. You should be able to analyze complex cloud usage data, identify optimization opportunities, and implement solutions that provide a measurable return on investment.
A documented, optimized cloud architecture. Configured monitoring and alerting dashboards. A report detailing cost savings and performance gains.
