Role Description
This is a part-time (to build to full-time) on-site mid-level provider role located in Atlanta, GA.Established dermatology practice seeking a physician assistant (PA) to fill the needs of its growing patient population base. Clinical Responsibilities:
1. Provide medical care and treatment of patients in dermatology and document patient findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems.. Perform basic medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatological procedures.
2. Provide treatment with injections and may perform cosmetic procedures such as laser treatments and injectables with proper training (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers, PRP, etc).
3. Perform basic dermatologic treatment such as wound care, basic suturing, and biopsies.
4. Provide surveillance for skin cancer and perform skin examinations.
5. Administer medications and assist with minor surgical procedures in accordance with practice protocols and physician instructions.
6. Work in an organized clinical environment to ensure infection control and safety standards.
Administrative Responsibilities:
1. Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating with other healthcare providers or departments as needed.
2. Managing patient records, including updating medical histories, documenting treatments, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
3. Answering patient inquiries by phone, email, or in person, and providing information about services, appointments, and procedures when necessary.
4. Collaborating with medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
5. Participating in training sessions, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities to stay updated on best practices and industry trends.
Overall, as a midlevel provider in dermatology, you would play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care while supporting the dermatology practice's patients and operational needs.
*Prior experience in dermatology is required for the role we are seeking.
