About this Job
LSU Health New Orleans Division of Facility Services is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Mobile Equipment Operator 2.
This is skilled work mainly operating and maintaining motor vehicles and rolling equipment to accomplish transportation, maintenance and construction tasks.
This position is considered an essential personnel position and must be available to respond to campus emergencies after nonbusiness hours and during campus closures.
The employee may be assigned to the emergency team that remains on campus and/or evacuates to an offsite location during emergency events.
Must possess a current Driver’s License in good standings.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
properly and safely operate the following equipment: Bobcat tractor, passenger van, pickup truck, dump body truck, stake body truck, sweeper, power washer truckster, rental equipment and other equipment used in daily or for special purpose tasks
picks up parts and materials from vendors;
transports co­workers or other persons between-points on and/or off institution grounds
building exterior clean-up
tree maintenance
intramural field maintenance
assists other departments as assigned
work orders
Position-Specific Details:
The person applying must possess a valid Driver's License.
Pre-employment Drug testing, Physical and Criminal Background check are required.
Appointment Type: Probationary Appointment
Compensation: Starting rate of pay is 17.18 per hour with an additional $1 Longevity Pay for hours worked only. Rate of pay may be adjusted Dependent upon applicants’ qualifications.
