Spotlight on Your New ChallengeReporting to the Product Manager, the Project Manager contributes to the success of LMPG by following the product development activities detailed in the product roadmap. The incumbent works closely with the Product Manager and several departments of the company (executives, design, engineering, operations, quality, finance, marketing, etc.) to ensure on‑time delivery of the approved scopes of work. He provides regular updates about the projects under its responsibility through weekly and monthly reports. The Project Manager plays a key role ensuring adhesion to the project goals and giving progress visibility to all stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities- Evaluate & plan the projects, from high level to detailed sequencing:
- Develop timelines to ensure proper sequence of the different stages, allow stakeholders to understand the critical path and clarify next milestones.
- Identify opportunities to adapt and update the project plan through the phases of development.
- Ensure the project is properly archived when completed.
- Drive the execution of the project:
- Lead the team to achieve the goals and objectives of each project.
- Support the core team in involving the right stakeholders at the right time.
- Ensure that projects are documented according to our processes, and that all deliverables are executed with the expected quality level.
- Develop effective communication plans for each project, which enable stakeholders to regularly share progress, knowledge, challenges, and expertise.
- Lead project update meetings, manage progress documentation.
- In collaboration with project teams, ensure that risks are clearly identified, quantified, communicated, addressed, and documented.
- Define project milestones to ensure clear short‑term goals for the team members.
- Give each stakeholder the level of details they need on project progress and tasks.
- Understand and measure the KPIs relevant to new product development.
- Participate in the improvement of project management tools & processes
- All other related tasks
- PMI training and certification an asset
- 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- New product development experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of the LED lighting industry is an asset.
- Fluent in French and English languages, spoken and written.
- Strong sense of responsibility & ownership.
- Ability to manage changes quickly, and lead people through it.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Autonomy and curiosity.
