ResponsibilitiesABOUT THE JOB: The aim of Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBSU differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.
Within the Trade Support Unit department, of Operations direction, the service Trade Capture (Transaction Modeling) oversees booking transactions in the information systems under delegation of the Front Office.
Within Societe Generale, you will join the pole Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), in charge of activities of financing and investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities.
Our teams guarantee the quality and the reliability of transactions negotiated on all financial worldwide.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Modeling of complex Exotic transactions and negotiated events in the information system, under delegation of the Front Office.
- Control the quality and the completeness of the information entered.
- Analysis and regulation of the breaks raised by Middle-Office Control and other parties involved in the Front to Back chain.
- Coordination between the Front-Office and the other support functions (Middle-Office Control, Back-Office, Risk Department, Finance Department, …) on the processing of requests for information and problem solving.
- Participation in the projects of security and reliability of the control framework.
- Participation in the impact analysis as part of development of new activities.
- Participation in the design and improvement of production tools in VBA and Python (Booking, Pricing, Communication).
- Bachelor’s Degree with a major in finance or financial markets.
- A first experience in financial markets is needed, to master the financial products and the processes.
- Deep knowledge and practical skills in Excel, VBA and financial mathematics.
- Good inter-personal and partnering skills, a “team-player”.
- Demonstrate initiatives, solutions oriented.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, deadline-focused environment.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
Due to US Federal Securities law applying to this position, candidates who will apply for this position will be required to submit to an enhanced background screening, including the collection of their fingerprints by a third-party vendor selected by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA").
