Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Project Management Office, the Project Manager will bring cross-functional teams within technology and the business together. In this role the Project Manager will be accountable to plan, execute and report on strategic projects supported by our executive team on time, within scope, schedule and budget within both an Agile and Waterfall methodology.

Accountability
  • The Project Manager assumes responsibility for day-to-day end-to-end project management of their designated projects.
  • Act as a Scrum Master for Agile projects, ensuring alignment, adherence to Agile practices, conducting daily stand-up meetings, aiding the Product Owner with the backlog, and resolving obstacles.
  • Oversee resource allocation, deployment, and efficiency within assigned projects. Collaborate with the Director of SPMO to clearly communicate project priorities and establish effective solutions for achieving strategic objectives. Drive strategic initiatives, ensuring successful implementation through stakeholder engagement and consensus.
Planning And Monitoring
  • Formulate and manage project plans, schedules, budget tracking, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate resources to execute projects flawlessly within specified time, scope, and budget parameters.
  • Proactively manage project RAID logs to identify, address, and resolve Risks, Actions, Issues, while documenting key decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Communications
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings and workshops to uphold project deliverables and meet critical deadlines in line with the Waterfall methodology.
  • Deliver comprehensive project status reports, encompassing milestones, dependencies, risk and issue management, cost and benefit analysis, and requisite executive support.
Governance
  • Ensure adherence to governance and process frameworks, while maintaining meticulous project documentation.
  • Contribute insights to streamline processes, enhancing efficiency, controls, profitability, and the overall customer experience.
Qualifications Skills and Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Agile and/or PMP considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 7 years progressive experience with end-to-end project management, with demonstrated experience delivering projects on time, within scope and budget utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Demonstrated planning and prioritization abilities. Experience in financial services considered a strong asset.
  • Change management and agile project management experience considered an asset.

  • Ability to establish collaborative relationships with multiple key stakeholders.
