Owning the delivery of AI-automated data platform migration projects, the full-time remote Forward Deployed Data Engineer will manage multiple concurrent projects, serve as the primary customer contact, and leverage proprietary AI tooling to ensure timely execution and delivery. Key responsibilities
Manage 1-4 concurrent migration projects from scoping to customer handoff Act as the primary customer liaison, conducting weekly check-ins and managing stakeholder expectations Configure Datafold's Migration Agent and collaborate with the engineering team for migration execution
Required qualifications
3-6 years of experience in data consulting, professional services, or a customer-facing data engineering role Strong understanding of the modern data stack, including dbt, Snowflake, and Databricks Proven ability to communicate effectively in both executive and technical settings Demonstrated ownership mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving Experience with legacy data stacks and data platform migration projects is a plus
