Find your calling at Mercy!Performs computer functions, processes patient specimens, maintains department inventory, operates and maintains equipment, and performs record-keeping tasks and QI functions. Adheres to patient identification, Lab safety, and other Mercy Lab and department policies and procedures. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 2 year of Anatomic Pathology experience required

Preferred Qualifications

Education: At least 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of academic credit from a regionally accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), or an associate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), AND one year full time acceptable experience in a histopathology (clinical, veterinary, industry or research) laboratory in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory* within the last ten years.

OR

Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university with a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both)

Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of Anatomic Pathology experience
