Position Type: Contract to Hire Work Model: Remote City: Dallas (Remote) State: TX Duration: Contract to Hire Compensation: $55-75/hr Location: Remote Description: Seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-prem and AWS cloud environments. This role focuses on routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, cloud networking, security, and automation in a Kubernetes/microservices environment. Requirements: 5+ years managing enterprise network infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments Strong experience with Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls/VPN, AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, and Kubernetes Expertise with routing/switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, IPSec, VPN, DNS, and SNMP Experience with Terraform/IaC, Panorama, and cloud networking/security best practices Hands-on troubleshooting with Wireshark, tcpdump, PRTG, Nagios, Grafana, NewRelic, and nmap Strong understanding of network security, hardening, patching, and incident response Ability to support Windows/Linux infrastructure environments Experience with high availability, redundancy, automation, and technical documentation Strong communication skills with ability to mentor junior staff and support escalation efforts Certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE/PCNSA, or Network+ are a plus
