What you can expect:

As Assistant Store Manager you will maintain store operations during scheduled shifts. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will be responsible for assuming the role of the manager on duty; directing employees, handling customer service and daily accounting. You will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of sales floor and off-floor areas.

Pay: $21.78

How you will make an impact:

  • Direct all store functions and activities on a daily basis.
  • Drive the revenue budget for achievement of established goals on a daily basis.
  • Monitor and direct maintenance of overall store appearance and sales floor to maximize return on square footage, customer shopping satisfaction and donor appreciation.
  • In conjunction with store staff, ensure facility is ready to accommodate incoming donations and shopping traffic.
  • Oversee sorting, pricing, merchandising and storage of donated goods.
  • Oversee accurate count and record keeping of salvage clothing.
  • Manage the removal of Paid-in-Full items from sales floor to maximize return on square footage. Promote workplace safety culture for employees and customers.
  • Train and supervise all employees and volunteers.
  • Follow and enforce all cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures, including all transaction processes.

What you will bring to Howard Brown Health:

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2-3 years of resale/retail experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. un-assisted, and greater than 50 lbs. with assistance.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency highly regarded.
