Job Title: Senior Principal Electrical Engineer Location – Round Lake, IL 60073 W2 Contract Duration – 12 months Work Mode – Onsite Paya Rate - $70 - $79.00/hr Hybrid position - 3 days on-site; 8AM to 5PM with flexibility Travel - possibly 5% nationwide We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to develop innovative solutions for infusion system products. The role involves designing and analyzing analog/digital circuits for microcontroller-based systems, ensuring EMI/EMC/ESD compliance, and integrating electrical, mechanical, and software components in safety-critical medical devices. Key responsibilities include defining hardware requirements, developing system architectures, validating designs through testing, supporting manufacturing transition, troubleshooting electrical systems, and mentoring engineering teams. Qualifications: Graduate or Postgraduate in Electrical or Electronics or related Engineering and 15+ years of experience. Prior experience in infusion pump domain is a plus. A demonstrated track record in electromechanical hardware development, preferably medical devices or other highly regulated products such as military hardware. Knowledge and experience in design of embedded microcontroller based electronics devices, including FPGA-based, digital and analog design. Experience testing electronic devices to meet immunity and emissions requirements. Knowledge and experience using CAD systems for printed circuit board schematic design and layout (Altium Designer, preferred), Matlab and data acquisition software (LabVIEW). Good knowledge of standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 61010, UL, ANSI, AIM and ASTM. Specific experience in design and development of sensing subsystems highly desirable.
