We are looking for caring and dependable individuals to join our team as State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs). In this essential role, you will provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents, helping them with daily living activities and contributing to a safe, clean, and compassionate environment. Qualifications:
- Must have successfully completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete the program within four months of hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hygiene assistance to residents
- Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs
- Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse
- Observe and report residents' psycho-social and emotional needs
- Notify the Charge Nurse of any changes in residents' conditions
- Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
- Demonstrate respectful and professional behavior toward co-workers and facility contacts
- Use nursing home equipment properly and safely
- Follow OSHA guidelines for handling and storing chemicals and equipment
- Attend required in-service training programs
- Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling
- Use of both hands and arms
- Exposure to odors, body secretions, and excrements
- Potential exposure to behavioral disorders
- Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
