We are currently looking for a Full Time (40 hrs/week) Refurbishment Technician with excellent constuction and customer service skills to join a dynamic Environmental Services. The Refurbishment Technician performs maintenance and repairs on both a scheduled and as needed basis and provides hands-on and administrative support throughout all phases of residential unit refurbishment projects. This role is critical to maintaining quality, schedule, safety, and organization across multiple job sites, while working in compliance with established safety rules, policies and procedures.

- Work under the direction of the Project Manager to support refurbishment projects from start to completion
- Providing support to the Project Manager in coordination of daily jobsite activities, including subcontractors, materials, and equipment, to ensure work is performed according to specifications and schedule
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment and securing multiple job sites at the close of each workday
- Help oversee project schedules, inspections, and trade sequencing
- Perform hands-on construction and finish work, including demolition, drywall, carpentry (trim), painting, cabinetry, hardware installation, touch-ups, and punch-list items
- Assist with material ordering, deliveries, material runs, staging, and overall site organization
- Maintain accurate daily logs, photos, receipts, and notes using Buildertrend
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, subcontractors, and project team members while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times
- Work independently when required, with minimal supervision
- Use email, text messaging, and onsite walkie-talkie communication effectively,
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the construction and refurbishment industry including learning new software and systems.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Work neatly and safely by securing work area from hazards posed to residents and staff.
- Duties require high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of one year working experience in the field is required. General construction knowledge with hands-on experience in residential remodeling preferred.
- Working knowledge of common construction tools and jobsite practices
- Ability to perform finish work and address detailed punch-list tasks
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in both occupied and vacant homes
- Clear and professional communicator with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members with a focus on the Facilities team
- Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar construction management software preferred, willingness to learn, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft office
