Description

Teacher Assistant at Gerber

Join our dedicated special education team supporting youth receiving treatment services at Cunningham Children's Home's residential treatment center. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive and collaborative school environment!

The Teacher Assistant partners closely with certified special education teachers to help create an engaging, structured, and supportive classroom where each student's individual learning and emotional needs are met.

Qualifications:

  • ISBE Paraprofessional License preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

All Teacher Assistant candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.

Education
