DI Support-Per Diem

Job Summary:

Assists the Diagnostic Imaging staff by performing various clerical duties and provides assistance to the department by cleaning rooms after exams, restocking supplies and transporting patients, as needed.

Primary Duties:

• Handles incoming and interoffice telephone calls and inquiries.
• Greets patients, obtains history from patient, readies them for scan.
• Obtains lab work and other necessary patient information from EPIC.
• Schedules DI scan exams from the EIPC imaging queue, ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Updates patient status in the EPIC system to indicate exam completion.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

• REQUIRED for the position: 1. High School graduate or equivalent 2. Good working knowledge of proper body mechanics 3. Knowledge of Radiology/Medical terminology 4. Experience with direct patient contact experience for at least 6 months
• DESIRED for the position: 5. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and experience
