We strive to create a workplace where your skills and talents are nurtured to allow you to grow within the company./ppAs a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) the primary purpose of your job position is to provide your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with our established nursing care procedures, and as may be directed by the licensed staff nurse./ph3Experience Education:/h3ulliMust possess an active and unencumbered CNA license in Massachusetts, be in the process of obtaining one, or have recently successfully completed a CNA program./liliCPR certification preferred, but not necessary./liliNew graduates welcome!/li/ulh3Duties Responsibilities:/h3ulliMeet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident./liliParticipate in planning and following current resident care plan on all residents under his/her care./liliComplete resident assignments effectively and promptly./liliObserve changes in resident conditions and promptly report them./liliDocument accurately and completely./liliMeet personal grooming needs for each resident./liliPromptly answer call lights and assure that all are placed within reach of the resident./liliAssure the resident care areas are left clean and in an orderly manner./liliMethods of identification of residents are maintained. Maintain that all residents are appropriately identified (i.e., I.D. bracelets, etc.)./liliDemonstrate correct safety techniques in accord with orientation and training processes of Athena and your specific job description./liliOther duties assigned by manager./li/ulh3Specific Requirements:/h3ulliMust have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilize appropriately./liliMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language./liliMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions./liliMust possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public./liliMust possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel./liliMust have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents./liliMust be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices./liliMust be able to communicate effectively with appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations./li/ulpAbout Athena Health Care Systems:/ppSince its establishment in 1984, Athena Health Care Systems has pioneered the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
