Location: Hospice of Cincinnati This position requires travel. Mileage reimbursement (.72 cents)
Work Schedule:
- Full Time (40 hours weekly)
- Day Shift 8am-4:30pm (no weekend and holiday rotation)
Job Overview:
This position works full-time Mon-Fri dayshift for the Hospice of Cincinnati East Home Care/Long term Care team with a touch base office in Anderson. This is a very large East territory of Cincinnati for hospice patient care in homecare/long-term-care. We cover the eastern parts of Hamilton County, and Clermont, Brown and Warren County. Must be available to work Mon-Friday days, no weekends or holidays. Care is provided in the patient's home or in their home/long-term-care home, so must have reliable transportation. This position must be willing to travel to other HOC territories. HOC mileage paid.
The Hospice Aide I provides direct patient care to Hospice of Cincinnati patients under the direction of a nurse. The hospice aide will assist with, and/or perform basic activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, assistance with ambulation, etc., and will serve as a provider of companionship and emotional support, even during times of crisis. The position is responsible for knowing safety policies and following approved procedures.
Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (Required) 6 months- 2 years Previous Healthcare Experience (Required) Reading and Math ability appropriate to the position. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 Days Required
