Anesthesiology Physician

This locum Anesthesiology position supports a high-volume hospital system. The role involves providing independent anesthesia coverage across a wide range of surgical specialties, including orthopedics, spine, OB, GI, and interventional services. Providers will support both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases in a collaborative OR environment with CRNA and anesthesia tech support.

• Start: ASAP (June and ongoing)
• Weekly schedule:
  • Friday: 5:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
  • Sunday: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
• Full-time equivalent (FTE): 1.0
• Ongoing weekly weekend coverage required

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care for surgical and procedural cases
• Support approximately 3,600 inpatient and outpatient surgeries annually
• Cover multiple specialties including ortho, spine, labor & delivery, GI, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, gynecology, and bariatric surgery
• Manage anesthesia care using EPIC EMR
• Work alongside CRNAs, anesthesia providers, and anesthesia technicians
• Handle staffing shortage coverage across hospital and affiliated surgical facility
• Participate in weekend-focused call and OR coverage

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology (REQUIRED)
• Completion of residency (and fellowship requirements as applicable) (REQUIRED)
• Active BLS and DEA certifications (REQUIRED)
• Nebraska license preferred; IMLC or willingness to obtain NE license accepted (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
• Clean malpractice/background (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
• Availability at time of submission (REQUIRED)
• NPDB self-query report within 30 days (REQUIRED)
