Marshfield Clinic – Marshfield Children’s is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Dietitian to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our integrated pediatric health system. In this role, you will provide evidence-based nutritional assessment, counseling, and care planning for infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of medical conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Working closely with pediatricians, specialists, nurses, therapists, and social workers, you will develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that support growth, development, and disease management for children and their families across central and northern Wisconsin.
The Dietitian will conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, interpret anthropometric data and growth trends, review laboratory values and medical histories, and apply current pediatric nutrition guidelines to inform care. You will educate patients, caregivers, and families on specialized diets, enteral and parenteral nutrition, food allergies, feeding challenges, weight management, and chronic disease nutrition management (such as diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, renal disease, and metabolic conditions). You will document all care in the electronic health record clearly and accurately, collaborate in care conferences and multidisciplinary rounds, and contribute to discharge planning to support continuity of care.
Aligned with our collaborative, patient-first culture, you will participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and interdisciplinary projects that enhance nutrition services and patient outcomes. You will serve as a resource to clinical staff on pediatric nutrition best practices, help develop educational materials, and may participate in community outreach, staff in-services, and parent education programs. The role offers opportunities to engage in clinical research, education, and innovation in pediatric nutrition, supported by leadership that values integrity, compassion, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is an organized, self-motivated Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with pediatric experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds. You are comfortable working in a dynamic clinical environment, balancing a varied caseload, and using clinical judgment to prioritize care. Proficiency with electronic health records, nutrition analysis software, and current pediatric nutrition standards of care is expected. This full-time position is based primarily on-site within our Marshfield Clinic – Marshfield Children’s facilities, with the potential for some hybrid or telehealth-based nutrition counseling as program needs evolve.
