Relief Care Worker Adults Residential Service - Ref 17471 Fixed Term Variable hour contract Location: Greystones ,Co Wicklow About the Role: To facilitate a service user focused service to adults with Prader Willi Syndrome in a well established residential service on a relief basis. To support the manager and team leaders of a dynamic team to provide a high quality and person centered service for all who attend. Residents are supported to enjoy new experiences and work on their independent living skills in a safe and nurturing environment. What We're Looking For: Third level graduate, Health & Social care or equivalent is desirable. Minimum requirement of Fetac level 5 in social care or related discipline. Previous experience of working with people with a disability is desirable An understanding of current regulations and safeguarding adults is required. Good communication skills and the ability to self-direct are also essential. A full clean driving license would be a distinct advantage. Your Responsibilities: * Promote and actively involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user. * Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users. * Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice at all times. Additional Requirements: * Full driving licence is essential. If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign. Salary starting from point 1 € 15.26 (pre hour) , plus Sleepover allowance and premium pay for bank Holiday and Sunday Shift.
