The IT Security Architect plays a key role in enhancing our overall security posture and protecting the digital assets at Resorts World Las Vegas. This position partners closely with Internal Information Technology teams and managed security partners to design, evaluate, and strengthen security architecture across our infrastructure and applications. This candidate proactively identifies and validates cyber threats, oversees our vulnerability management strategy, & leads the implementation of security technology and controls. The IT Security Architect will also assist in safeguarding sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance in an enterprise-scale environment.
Primary Job Duties:
- Includes, but is not limited to: Work closely with the Chief Information Security Office to design comprehensive security architecture tailored to the organization's needs. This includes developing frameworks and solutions for both current and future security threats. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in existing infrastructure and applications. Evaluate, recommend, and implement security technologies and tools for the organization Oversee the management of user access to systems and data to foster a culture of Never trust, always verify Assist with creating and enforcing security policies, standards, & procedures to ensure compliance with Industry regulations and best practices. Respond immediately to cyber incidents, conducting thorough analysis to understand the impact and prevent future events. Work closely with the Information Technology Dept along with the stakeholders to ensure IT Security measures are integrated into all aspects of the infrastructure and organization. Stimulate a cybersecurity conscious culture throughout the organization to bring awareness and training to the forefront. Other duties as assigned Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, information Technology, or related field. At least 5-10 years' experience in IT or Cybersecurity role as an analyst, pen tester, or engineer Professional Certification is highly valued and recommended A deep understanding of IT Infrastructure, network security, and cybersecurity principles Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Tools Knowledge of Endpoint Protection Tools and Intrusion detection/prevention software Ability to implement, configure, and Project Management Security Technology tools Ability to analyze and interpret complex cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies An understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks, i.e., NIST and CIS Controls Knowledge of regulatory entities, i.e., PCI-DSS and NGCB MICS - ITv.9 Ability to effectively communicate in English Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment; maintain proper mental attitude and ability to operate effectively while working under pressure and meeting deadlines Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with focus on clearly communicating technical concepts Ability to work both independently and within the team Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays Preferred:
Master's or additional bachelor's degree in related fields CISA and/or other industry recognized certifications Experience interfacing with regulatory entities Project management experience Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting Experience opening a large integrated resort At Resorts World Las Vegas, we believe that every member of our team is an ambassador and is essential to the success of our company.
