À propos
*Role Details:*
* Experienced Project Manager at a Shopify Website Design Agency
* Ideal hours: 20 hours weekly to start, with ramp up to 32+ hours within 6 months (if you require full time hours but feel you would be a great fit, please apply and note this on your application)
* Ideal Pay: $32-42/hour
* Employee role, includes paid holidays, 2 weeks pto, no health insurance
*Who are we?*
* We are a female run e-commerce brand and website agency (Shopify focused). 95% our of our clients are female business owners as well. We strongly encourage candidates who resonate with women-owned businesses, ecommerce founders, and values-led leadership to apply.
* We help clothing retailers, along with many other industries. Most have a brick and mortar location as well. Most have a brand and website in place, but we are helping them re-brand and overhaul. Some clients also sell their products wholesale. Some are migrating to Shopify from other platforms.
* We are 8 years old. It has been a wild adventure, and I'm so proud of the team we've built together (and the work we are putting out into the world).
* We take a ton of pride in the value of our services and the depths of skill that we bring to the table (as a team) for our clients.
*Is this role a fit for you?*
* This is not an entry level role. Ideally, you already have direct experience (within a team/agency, or freelance) building Shopify websites. You have likely managed the build of 25-50+ Shopify websites. OR you have extensive experience with the items listed under the shopify skills below by having managed one or multiple high volume Shopify clients with advanced needs.
* This is NOT a sales, design or coding development role. You would get to focus exclusively on serving/building (managing your projects, consulting/communicating with your clients, customizing themes, handling app installs, etc) while other team members work on their pieces of the project.
* You are comfortable working as part of a team, remotely.
* You are comfortable spending at least half of your time on video calls with clients, our process includes calls (1-2 hours) during the on-boarding process, website review/feedback process and as needed along the way.
* You will be able to step into your role quickly, and are used to problem-solving on your own before asking for help. However, there IS support available (that's what's so great about working within a team). So when new/advanced/complex needs arise on a project, sometimes you need to brainstorm, troubleshoot, or lean on experience from other team members who have been there before. So you are comfortable exploring solutions on your own, but you also know how/when to ask for help too.
*Shopify Related Experience/Skills Required:*
* Ability to step into any Shopify theme or app unassisted (even if you haven’t worked with that theme or app before)
* Advanced menu/collection/tag buildout/cleanup
* Meta fields, meta objects, page templates, product/collection page templates
* Shopify flow email/process automations
* Domain Transfers/DMARC Verifications
* Understanding of Shopify buildout needs from a B2C (retail) and B2B (wholesale) perspective
*Project Management Related Experience/Skills Required:*
* Boundaries/scope management with clients
* Timeline/cost margins management (we have clear goals and tracking mechanisms in place)
* Delegation to other team members where possible/when needed
* Confidence, ownership and the ability to consult and educate clients on complex business pain points related to their website and connected tools. We don't just take orders, we advise.
* You don't have to have all the answers (that's not possible), but be pro-active in research/problem solving where needed when new issues arise that you haven't dealt with.
* We don't want to tell clients a hard no. We want to say:
* yes, we can do that but it’s out of scope, here’s a quote on that
* exactly how you envisioned it isn’t possible, but here are a couple other ways we can solve this problem
* yes we could, but here’s what we suggest instead and why
*Other Tools/Bonus Skills for Role:*
* Advanced CSV data manipulation (for inventory migrations, for example)
* Monday.com and Google suite experience is preferred, but not required if you learn and adjust to new tech programs fast
* Zapier experience for advanced/third party integrations/automations
* Experience with other platforms (Wordpress, square and lightspeed are some of the most common we also work with) are also a bonus but Shopify experience is much more critical
Pay: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour
Benefits:
* Flexible schedule
* Paid time off
Application Question(s):
* How many Shopify website builds or major overhauls have you managed or implemented?
* Have you worked inside Shopify across multiple client or business projects, not just your own store?
* Tell us about the most complex Shopify project you’ve managed or implemented. What made it complex, and what were you personally responsible for?
* This role requires client-facing video calls. Are you comfortable leading website review, onboarding, troubleshooting, and strategy/consulting calls with clients?
* Are you available for 20 hours/week now with interest or ability to ramp to 32+ hours/week within 6 months?
* Is $32–42/hour aligned with your expectations?
