PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant embodies the core values of delivering superior quality care, treating others with respect, and fostering a team-oriented atmosphere. This role prioritizes patient and employee safety and involves assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals and therapeutic interventions designed to aid patients in achieving their long-term health goals.

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist with therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance training, and functional skills training.
• Train patients using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
• Demonstrate the use of therapeutic modalities.
• Monitor patients' responses to treatment and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient progress and engage in patient and family education.
• Uphold safety policies regarding patient handling, infection control, and equipment use.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
• Display a customer service attitude toward patients and staff.

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification.

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.

This is a 13-week contract position.
