divh2Assistant Manager - Store/h2pThe Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the Store Management Team. They support the companys culture while helping lead the overall store operations, including opening and closing, assisting customers, and supervising the team. They stay actively involved in sales, coach and train associates and drive performance to meet goals for sales, labor and customer experience. They ensure the store is clean, organized, and operating according to company policies and standards. They promote a safe, secure environment while managing schedules, handling issues and leading company initiatives./ppDuties and Responsibilities/pulliSupport the Cavenders Culture and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values./liliMaintain active role in personal selling, meeting or exceeding sales per hour goals./liliBe able to perform the tasks of and train all other associate positions in the store (Cashier, Sales Associate, Key Carrier, Receiver, Stocker, etc.)./liliAct as Manager on Duty as assigned. ulliAssist in the day-to-day management of the retail store and the supervision of store associates to deliver Best of the WEST customer service and drive sales./liliOpen and close store as directed./liliAddress customer complaints./liliHandle returns and exchanges./liliHandle associate assignments and concerns./li/ul/liliAssist in the effort to increase sales, maintain profit, and reduce controllable expenses using key metrics./liliServe as a product expert and lead the training of store associates, coaching them on sales techniques, product knowledge and company expectations (ADS, UPTs, etc.)./liliContribute to a safe and secure store environment and report any safety/security accidents or incidents to the Store Manager or District Manager promptly and ensures proper records are kept and maintained./liliUnderstand and execute all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance./liliActively participate in Loss Prevention measures in the store./liliLead and support team members to deliver Best of the WEST customer service to drive sales, keep the store well-stocked, organized and running smoothly./liliKeeps the store looking clean and well-presented, both inside and outside by following visual standards, and making sure associates look neat and professional by setting clear expectations with associates./liliImpacts store performance and contribute to achieving goals for sales, payroll, and customer experience through effective use of systems, reports and processes./liliControls store labor through effective scheduling, planning and expectations as well as monitoring and correcting timecard exceptions and missed punches for store associates; approves final payroll bi-weekly./liliHandle and escalate customer issues or personnel matters within the store in partnership with the Store Manager, Human Resources, Regional Vice President, etc./liliLeads company initiatives with the store associates./liliAny other duties as assigned./li/ulpQualifications and Requirements/pulliProven ability to sell product and manage a retail department. Ability to manage store shifts effectively./liliProven ability to drive results, develop talent, excel in customer service and exercise sound decision making and judgement./liliAbility to comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents and apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks./liliAssociate must be able to read English./liliAssociate must be able to understand English./liliAssociate must be able to stay alert and productive during work hours assigned./li/ulpCavenders is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
