The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $73,920 - $97,885. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training./ppJoin Our Team as a Sales Support Engineer!/ppAre you passionate about Sales Support? SC Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Inside Sales Support function. As a Sales Support Engineer youll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team./ppAs part of the Sales Operations organization, the Sales Support team members are the primary liaison between the outside sales force and production operations for all SCs Pad-Mounted Gear engineer-to-order products./ppThe Sales Support Engineer primary responsibilities include reviewing system applications with customers, outside sales, application engineering, and design engineering to collaboratively develop effective solutions using SC products and services. Responsibilities also include developing custom pricing, issuing quotations, creation of sales orders, and general oversight of the orders throughout the design and production cycle./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliProvide pre-sales technical support to customers and the outside sales team, including reviewing customer specifications and assisting in formulating the commercial strategy to best address customer needs./liliAct as a source of product knowledge for customers leveraging a comprehensive understanding of SCs offerings and customization capabilities to tailor solutions to specific application requirements./liliPrepare key customer deliverables, including price estimates, quotations, and sales orders in collaboration with the outside sales team and other departments at SC./liliAct as a key point of contact for customers, outside sales, and inside sales, responding to application, technical, and commercial queries with timely responses, escalating and connecting with other experts SC when needed./liliParticipate in customer visits, including plant tours, acceptance testing, and associated functions. Offer application expertise and answer questions, using information gathered from visits to ensure application proposals are accurate and correctly address the needs of the customer./liliParticipate in process improvement activities, acting as a knowledge source and recommending solutions to improve processes in accordance with LPS principles./liliUnderstand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules./li/ulpWhat youll Need To Succeed:/pulliBachelors of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/lili0-3 years of demonstrated experience directly supporting the application of mediumor low-voltage switchgear, with direct customer interaction./liliBasic understanding of electromechanical products, mechanical concepts, and communications equipment/protocols./liliAbility to initiate engaging discussions with senior members of the group to identify project specific needs and articulate how SCs solutions address those issues./liliSkilled in conveying key concepts effectively and addressing objections collaboratively with supporting team members./liliSolid communication skills, (written, verbal, listening and presentation), able to articulate basic technical concepts clearly and concisely to a diverse range of stakeholders/liliSound organizational, planning and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources and juggling key account demands/liliRounded interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships and foster collaborative working relationships amongst diverse audiences/liliSelf-motivated with the demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to meet tight deadlines./liliBasic financial acumen and numerical ability with the ability to understand the details of sales proposals./liliProficient computer skills, including experience using Oracle and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)/liliGood working knowledge of CRM and other sales-related software, including Salesforce.com./liliThe ability to travel as required./li/ulpMajor Physical Demands/pulliStanding: Occasional standing for work/liliLifting: Occasional lifting of switchgear components, less than 40 pounds/liliWalking: Occasional walking throughout the facility/liliCarrying: Occasional carrying of light objects/liliPushing: Infrequent pushing of objects/liliPulling: Infrequent pulling of objects/liliBending: Occasional bending during access to equipment/liliReaching: Infrequent reaching/liliHandling: Occasional handling of parts or tools/liliEnvironment: Standard office / lab work space with occasional trips to factory areas/li/ulpSC Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
