PT Grocery Clerk

AG Supermarkets, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Associated Grocers of New England, Inc., operates seven supermarkets: in New Hampshire, Vista in Laconia, Sully's in Goffstown and Allenstown, and Harvest Markets of Bedford, Hollis and Wolfeboro, and Vista in Newport, Vermont. Customers shopping these stores find the most personalized, friendly service with the highest quality food products. We are currently looking for a Part Time Grocery Clerk in our Laconia, NH store.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of all products to effectively assist customers and support operational excellence.
• Organize, rotate, and restock products to maintain inventory freshness and ensure an appealing presentation.
• Responsible for assisting the Manager in ensuring proper unloading, storage, and organization of products.
• Assist customers with carryout services, ensuring a positive and helpful experience.
• Comply with established procedures, practices, sales, safety, and security according to A.G. Supermarkets, Inc. policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, employees, and management.
• Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service through prompt issue resolution and a customer-focused approach.

NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of computer systems and related technology.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequent lifting, pushing, carrying, and pulling of weights between 20-40lbs, with occasional lifting over 40 lbs.
• Standing for extended periods of time (90% of the time) and walking (10%).
• Frequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching above and below waist level.
• Working in various temperature-controlled environments, including:
• Freezers (extreme cold)
• Receiving areas with occasional humidity or wet flooring
• Outside temperatures (2% of the time)
• Hard tile/cement flooring with anti-fatigue mats available.
• Required: Slip-resistant footwear and various cleaning supplies
• Machines, Tools, and Equipment used: Baler, Pallet Jack, Uboats, and Box Cutters.
