The opportunity This role sits at the intersection of Web3, financial market infrastructure, and sustainability tech. You will help build production grade blockchain solutions that either modernise digital assets infrastructure on Ethereum or deliver permissioned tokenisation platforms such as carbon credit issuance and retirement. The work is practical, engineering led, and built for real world adoption, not just demos.
Where you might be working In Central London you could join a cutting edge blockchain company building an Ethereum platform aimed at decentralising parts of traditional financial services. On a remote contract you could support a clean technology organisation building a carbon offset tokenisation system using Hyperledger Besu, with smart contracts, APIs, and audit ready delivery.
What you will own You will design and implement critical components of blockchain services and the smart contract ecosystem. You will build token workflows including minting, transfer, verification, and retirement mechanics, and you will implement token standards such as ERC 20 and ERC 1155 with structured metadata like project ID, vintage year, and verification body. For permissioned programmes you will help set up and operate multi node Besu networks using IBFT 2.0 or QBFT consensus and deliver repeatable testnet deployments.
