*Position Overview*
We are seeking an experienced and driven Deployment / Technical Support Manager to oversee merchant deployment operations, onboarding, logistics, and support coordination across a growing portfolio of payment processing clients.
This leadership role is responsible for managing deployment workflows, technical implementations, and cross-functional team coordination while driving a positive onboarding and support experience.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Deployment & Team Leadership*
* Manage deployment specialists and technical support personnel
* Oversee the full deployment lifecycle for payment terminals, POS systems, gateways, and integrated payment solutions
* Manage deployment schedules, merchant onboarding timelines, staging operations
* Establish operational priorities and oversee successful execution of merchant implementation projects
* Coordinate large-scale deployments, rollouts, pilot programs, and enterprise implementations
* Act as the escalation point for complex deployment or merchant onboarding issues
*Technical & Merchant Support*
* Provide advanced troubleshooting support for payment terminals, POS systems, connectivity, and gateway integrations
* Manage processor and gateway configurations across multiple platforms and environments
* Work directly with processors, banks, ISVs, gateways, and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues
* Deliver high-level technical guidance and customer support to merchants
* Maintain compliance with PCI requirements, processor standards, and card brand regulations
* Assist with technical training and onboarding for internal staff and merchants
*Inventory & Fulfillment *
* Manage shipping, receiving, terminal staging, inventory tracking, and fulfillment operations
* Manage RMAs, terminal replacements, inventory reconciliation, and logistics workflows
* Maintain operational inventory levels for terminals, peripherals, cables, SIM cards, and accessories
* Develop scalable operational procedures to improve fulfillment speed, accuracy, and efficiency
* Coordinate with shipping carriers and logistics vendors to ensure timely delivery and tracking visibility
*Project Management *
* Monitor deployment KPIs including activation timelines, fulfillment accuracy, merchant readiness, and operational efficiency
* Develop and maintain SOPs, deployment documentation, and workflow procedures
* Coordinate cross-functional communication between sales, operations, technical support, integrations, and executive leadership
* Identify process improvement opportunities and implement operational enhancements
* Assist leadership with operational planning and scaling initiatives
*Required Qualifications*
* 5+ years of experience in payment processing, deployment operations, POS support, technical operations, or merchant services
* Prior supervisory, leadership, or project management experience in the Payment Processing field
* Strong understanding of payment processing flows including authorization, settlement, funding, and gateway communication
* Experience with POS systems, payment terminals, and integrated payment environments
* Hands-on experience with inventory management, shipping/logistics, and operational coordination
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong customer service and relationship management skills
