As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Fiska, you'll be at the forefront of building the future of event spend management. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AI/ML integrations to create powerful, intuitive solutions for finance teams. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on product architecture, technical direction, and team culture. You'll work directly with product and design teams to ship features that delight customers and solve real financial challenges. Key Responsibilities
Build Core Platform Features:
Architect and develop scalable, high-performance full-stack solutions for complex financial workflows including real-time spend tracking, multi-level budget management, automated reconciliation, and policy enforcement systems AI/ML Integration:
Collaborate closely with AI engineers to build intelligent agent systems and workflows that automate expense categorization, enforce spending policies, provide predictive analytics, and deliver actionable financial insights API Development:
Design, build, and maintain robust RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints with comprehensive error handling, rate limiting, and documentation that power seamless experiences across web and mobile applications Frontend Excellence:
Craft intuitive, accessible, and highly responsive user interfaces using React 18+, TypeScript, modern state management solutions, and cutting-edge CSS frameworks that deliver exceptional user experiences across devices Performance Optimization:
Drive application performance and scalability through strategic code optimization, intelligent caching strategies, query optimization, lazy loading, code splitting, and performance monitoring to ensure sub-second response times Testing & Quality:
Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests using modern frameworks. Champion code quality, maintainability, and best practices through thorough peer reviews and technical documentation Security & Compliance:
Implement enterprise-grade security best practices including AI governance and output guardrails, end-to-end encryption, secure authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and ensure compliance with financial industry regulations (PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR) Technical Leadership:
Provide mentorship to junior engineers, lead architectural discussions and design reviews, establish coding standards, and actively shape engineering culture, processes, and team growth Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner effectively with product managers, designers, AI engineers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements, estimate project scope, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality solutions on schedule Innovation & Technical Excellence:
Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools. Advocate for technical improvements, modernization initiatives, and development process enhancements that increase team velocity and product quality Requirements
5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrable track record of shipping production applications and features at scale Proven experience designing and building production-grade RESTful APIs and GraphQL services using Node.js, Express, Fastify, or NestJS with focus on scalability and maintainability Strong expertise in both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) including complex query optimization, indexing strategies, schema design, and data modeling Hands‑on production experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including serverless architectures, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native services Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, deployment strategies (blue‑green, canary), and monitoring/observability tools Comprehensive knowledge of security best practices including OAuth 2.0, JWT, RBAC, data encryption, secure coding practices, and experience implementing authentication/authorization systems Exceptional problem‑solving abilities with systematic debugging approach, performance profiling skills, and meticulous attention to code quality and edge cases Outstanding communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across distributed teams Highly self‑motivated with proven ability to work autonomously in remote environments, manage time effectively, and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision Nice to Have
Direct experience with fintech platforms, payment processing systems (Stripe, Razorpay), financial APIs, or building PCI‑compliant applications handling sensitive financial data Hands‑on experience integrating AI/ML services such as AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure OpenAI into production applications and collaborating with data science teams Advanced proficiency with GraphQL including Apollo Server/Client, schema design, federation, subscriptions, and performance optimization techniques Production experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS, GCP GKE) including service mesh, auto‑scaling, and microservices architecture Active open source contributions, technical blog posts, or community involvement demonstrating thought leadership and commitment to knowledge sharing Proven track record building and scaling multi‑tenant SaaS products from early stage to enterprise scale with experience in billing systems, usage metering, and tenant isolation Experience with modern frontend build tools and frameworks such as Vite, Next.js, TurboRepo, or Remix for server‑side rendering and optimal developer experience Knowledge of real‑time systems using WebSockets, Server‑Sent Events, or messaging systems like Redis Pub/Sub, AWS SQS, or Apache Kafka for event‑driven architectures Competitive Compensation
