The cashier will be responsible for handling cash each shift. Perform a variety of tasks as needed to maintain proper presentation of the marina store/ppstrongEssential Functions Duties:/strong/pulliGreet customers entering the store and provide excellent customer service;/liliOperate POS register and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently;/liliFollow cash handling policies and procedures to ensure the security of funds;/liliProvide friendly and professional demeanor when answering calls and inquiries from guests, customers, and staff;/liliAssist with merchandising and stocking of products to ensure the store is well organized and visually appealing;/liliMaintain knowledge of current sales and store policies to provide accurate information to customers;/liliAssist customers in finding products and answer product-related questions;/liliEnsure the store and restroom facilities are kept clean, and documenting cleaning times appropriately;/liliAdhere to safety and security protocols, including monitoring for shoplifting or other security concerns;/liliPossess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pPossess reliable transportation to work. Ability to be trained in POS system and basic computing skills. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays./ppHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred./pp1 to 3 years retail positions that entailed cash handling preferred./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in fire extinguisher operation./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in ISO/EMS awareness./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in employee orientation./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in hazard communication./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in hazardous materials response/respiratory protection./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in emergency response./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in recyclable materials./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in blood borne pathogen awareness./ppKnowledge or ability to be trained in clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, designing forms, etc./ppModerately supervised.
