À propos

RedHammer is the nation's largest construction-only outsourced accounting firm. We serve 130+ contractors across 20 states with 80+ accounting professionals. Our clients come to us with messy books, broken processes, and software that isn't working. We fix it, build it right, and run it going forward. That's what makes this role different. You're not maintaining the status quo. You're helping transform how our clients operate.
The Role We're hiring an Implementation Consultant to onboard new construction clients, configure QuickBooks environments, execute migrations, and stand up the technology and processes our clients need to run their businesses.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who already knows QuickBooks inside and out and has implemented it for real businesses. You'll lead engagements where you have the experience to do so, and you'll take direction from a Senior Implementation Consultant on more complex work, learning the RedHammer methodology as you go. You'll own meaningful workstreams from day one: data migrations, chart of accounts builds, reconciliations, integration setup, and client‑facing communication. You'll learn construction accounting from the people who do it best, and you'll have a clear path to grow into senior and leadership roles as you build that expertise.
What This Actually Looks Like Client Onboarding & Transformation
Lead new client engagements from discovery through stabilization where appropriate, serving as the single point of accountability
Take direction from a Senior Implementation Consultant on more complex engagements and contribute as a key team member
Run the project: build the plan, set milestones, drive weekly status, and hold everyone (including the client) to the timeline
Assess client workflows, pain points, and emotional needs. Understand what's broken and design what it should look like
Manage the transformation across people, process, and technology, not just software configuration
Coordinate internal accounting teams through onboarding deliverables (reconciliations, close readiness, reporting foundations)
Technology & Software
Configure and optimize QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop environments (chart of accounts, workflows, reporting)
Support migrations: QBD to QBO, QBD/QBO to IES (Intuit Enterprise Suite), or legacy system replacements
Set up and test third‑party integrations including Bill.com, Ramp, Knowify, Procore, payroll tools, and AP automation platforms
Validate migrated data, reconcile balances, and resolve discrepancies
Document configuration decisions, mappings, and validation results
Client Relationship & Communication
Be the face of RedHammer during the transformation. Build trust, set expectations, and maintain momentum
Pick up the phone. Follow up. Don't let things sit. Be the person who gets things across the finish line
Prepare agendas, communicate status, and document decisions so handoffs to the ongoing service team are clean
Navigate tough conversations, when timelines slip, when clients push back, when things aren't going right
Contribute observations, gaps, and improvement ideas to our implementation playbook
Support clean handoffs to the ongoing service team
Embrace change and bring a learner's mindset to new tools and methods
What We’re Looking For Required
2+ years of hands‑on QuickBooks experience (QuickBooks Online required, QuickBooks Desktop strongly preferred)
Proven experience implementing QuickBooks for clients or employers, including configuration, setup, and go‑live
Hands‑on accounting experience including reconciliations and month‑end close
Reliable on deliverables and timelines
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strongly Preferred
QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online migrations
Construction accounting exposure (job costing, WIP, retention, AIA billing, change orders)
Familiarity with construction tech stack tools: Knowify, Procore, Bill.com, Ramp, Adaptive
Prior client‑facing or consulting experience
Project management tool experience (Monday.com, ClickUp, Asana, SharePoint, or similar)
Who Thrives Here You take ownership. You don't wait for someone to tell you what to do next. You document as a habit because clean handoffs matter. You're curious about how systems work, and you can pick up a new tool over a weekend. You're reliable in front of clients from day one. You want to grow, and you see this role as a launchpad into senior and leadership work.
Why RedHammer
Remote, U.S.-based role with a tight, high-performing team
Real career path: clear progression from Implementation Consultant to Senior Implementation Consultant and beyond
Direct mentorship from senior consultants and partners
Exposure to a wide range of construction businesses, technology stacks, and migration scenarios
A firm that's scaling fast and rewards people who help build it
