This role is fully remote and requires no travel. Your work location is the city/town/province/state you will be working from remotely. For our 12-week internship program, interns are allowed to work remotely from an alternative location for up to 2 weeks. Interns are also invited to work out of the CrowdStrike office located closest to their remote location.
About the Role:
CrowdStrike’s Counter Adversary Operations team is hiring individuals for our internship program. This internship role will involve hands‑on experience collecting and analyzing data being shared on the cybercriminal underground that could impact the security and privacy of CrowdStrike customers and their users. Interns on our team are assigned a variety of projects with daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
What You’ll Do:
Conducting and evaluating open source research on various predetermined cyber security topics supporting CrowdStrike customers.
Conducting analysis of gathered intelligence.
Compose written intelligence assessments related to cyber security threats.
Learning cyber security concepts and threat actor Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
What You'll Need:
Currently enrolled in a 4‑year University working towards a BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, International Relations, or a related field.
Graduating in 2028.
Proficient in at least one general‑purpose programming language such as Python, or proficiency in analytical languages such as SQL or R.
Functional or professional fluency in one or more of the following languages: Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese are strongly preferred), Korean (strongly preferred), Spanish (strongly preferred), Arabic, or Farsi.
An eagerness to learn through hands‑on experience and collaborative projects specific to your internship field.
A passion for extracting insights out of unstructured and ambiguous datasets.
Appreciation for CrowdStrike’s mission and principled in the concepts of security, trust and safety, and privacy.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points:
Interest in cybersecurity or data privacy.
Command line tooling.
Coursework in data warehousing or database systems.
Desire to rapidly increase skills.
