We are looking for a Technical Solutions Consultant. This is a full-time direct hire
remote
position in the US with our client. In this role you will be consulting with the company’s customers for implementing the company/Retail Suite in an existing or new infrastructure, sizing and designing of large customer environments (Hardware, Amount of Cluster Nodes, Load Balancing and Failover), design and recommendation of architecture from instore systems to cloud setup including network design, initial installation and technical configuration of the company/Retail Suite and implementation of the operational processes related to the company/Retail Suite. Responsibilities as Technical Solutions Consultant: Prepare, perform or support workshops Presentation of the standard solution, different architectural possibilities, versions, etc. Understand and analyze customer requirements and technical limitations Propose optimal architecture to customer considering what is possible in standard/custom effort Identify and explain potential risks, performance impact, guide the customer to a stable long-term solution Make recommendations to optimize security Technical expert with broad knowledge of IT systems, standards and protocols Self-motivated to keep technical knowledge up to date Can map customer functional requirements into technical solutions Propose/recommend optimal solutions for the non-functional topics (solution operation topics) Takes structured approaches and documentation Be primary contact person for all kinds of non-functional/technical topics Training of customer on installation and solution operation Handover to Customer Services Department Health check of systems Go-Live Support Required Skills for Technical Solutions Consultant: 5+ years of solid working experience as a Technical Consultant or similar capacity Deep technical affinity & experience Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems Experience working with Applications Server (Netweaver, Tomcat) Experience working with different databases (Oracle, SAP HANA, SQL Server) Solid experience working with installation & upgrade procedures and performance topics Professional and convincing appearance Analytical capabilities, methodical approach to problem-solving Writing skills (specification/documentation) Organize work independently and work efficiently Willingness to travel up to 10% in US and Canada Bachelor's degree in technology-related field highly preferred Seniority level
