Purpose of the position :

Reporting to the Center of Excellence Director, the incumbent is responsible for planning production and ensuring it complies with the company’s just-in-time (JIT) production standards.
Responsibilities

  • Update and adjust the master production and manufacturing schedule according to customer requirements, machine breakdowns, inefficiencies, and/or inventory discrepancies;
  • Identify priority jobs in the system and ensure deadlines are met;
  • Verify raw materials, hardware, and required components for part manufacturing;
  • Work closely with relevant departments to ensure operational objectives are achieved;
  • Identify, plan, and report production stoppages or bottlenecks to ensure resolution or minimize impact;
  • Collaborate in identifying solutions to resolve production issues and improve overall operational performance;
  • Perform production data and manufacturing capacity analysis to prevent bottlenecks and optimize workflow;
  • Analyze production performance, delivery timelines, and operational KPIs such as equipment utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and productivity;
  • Prepare required data for weekly production meetings (workload, delays, manufacturing trends, improvement opportunities, etc.) and present findings to management teams;
  • Improve manufacturing time standards through time studies and comparative analysis between standard and actual times;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures for products and processes, including scrap reduction initiatives;
  • Maintain ERP/MRP system integrity and ensure accurate data entry by production teams;
  • Keep customer service informed of delivery timelines and adjust delivery dates in the system according to established procedures;
  • Analyze proposals to assess feasibility, operational impact, and return on investment;
  • Provide backup support in related roles as needed;
  • Adhere to quality standards and occupational health and safety regulations.

Job requirements

Required education

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.

Technical skills

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in planning and/or aerospace (an asset);
  • Proficiency in both French and English (intermediate level), spoken and written;
  • Proficiency with an ERP system;
  • Proficiency with office software, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level)
