Mechanical Design Engineer Fameccanica North America is growing its Boston Hub and hiring a
Mechanical Design Engineer
to help design custom automation systems. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who enjoys turning concepts into practical, production-ready equipment. What You’ll Do Design mechanical systems for custom automation equipment Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and bills of materials Partner with controls, electrical, manufacturing, and project teams Support design reviews, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts Help move designs from concept through build, test, and deployment What You Bring 5 to 10 years of mechanical design experience in automation or custom machinery Strong CAD skills, ideally in SolidWorks or Solid Edge Experience creating assemblies, drawings, and production-ready documentation Ability to work cross-functionally and solve design challenges efficiently Hands-on, practical mindset with strong attention to detail Why This Role Is Different This role offers the chance to do meaningful engineering work in a growing hub with strong global backing.
