Base Compensation Range: $101,500 - $127,000.

Job Summary Essential to ensuring Mesa’s external financial reporting transparency, reliability, and timeliness. Report quarterly and annual SEC filings in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. Perform technical accounting research projects, general accounting procedures, audit support, and special project leadership.
Duties / Responsibilities
Prepare Form 10‑Qs and Form 10‑Ks, including financial statements and footnotes, in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Prepare Form 8‑Ks, Proxy Statements, and other SEC filings as requested.
Manage preparation and review of XBRL.
Prepare disclosure checklists and monitor new accounting pronouncements.
Perform monthly and quarterly close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany elimination entries, consolidation, and analysis.
Support recurring technical accounting projects such as equity award valuation, lease modifications, goodwill impairment testing.
Collaborate with external specialists and internal colleagues on significant transactions; research and provide GAAP treatments.
Assess impact, timing, and preferred adoption methodology for new accounting pronouncements.
Communicate findings verbally and in written format, including formal technical memos.
Perform SOX compliance procedures and audit support.
Identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
Occasional travel to Mesa sites, less than quarterly.
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA required.
4‑8 years of financial accounting or audit experience.
Preferred experience with a listed public company subject to SEC regulations.
Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, SEC topics, and SOX.
Proven auditor experience.
Knowledge & Skillsets Required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; advanced Excel highly preferred.
