Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing and post-sale support
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within target industries
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotes, and proposals
Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, logistics, and technical support) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability and prevent stockouts or overstock situations
Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to align inventory with customer demand and sales forecasts
Assist in demand planning and provide input based on customer forecasts and pipeline activity
Ensure accurate order entry and fulfillment in coordination with operations teams
Help resolve shipping discrepancies, returns, and customer complaints related to delivery or product condition
Track order status and proactively communicate updates, delays, or issues to customers
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts in CRM systems
Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
Work & Travel Expectations
This is a remote position with 25-50% travel
Travel includes meeting with current and prospective customers
Quarterly travel to company headquarters in New Jersey
Occasional travel to industry exhibitions and trade shows may be required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in chemical distribution, industrial products, or B2B sales
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to understand technical product information and translate it into customer solutions
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
