Mission + Vision Our mission at The Just Trust is to ensure that the next chapter of justice reform in America is nimble, adaptable, well-funded, and able to make progress through the pendulum of politics and culture. By connecting diverse groups of donors with smart investments at the local, state and national level, we can help steward a generations-long effort for justice and safety into the lasting solutions communities want and deserve.
TJT’s vision is to transform the justice system into a fair and just engine that fosters public safety for all because we envision safe, thriving communities in every corner of the country, strengthened by the existence of a much smaller, more humane justice system that prevents crime, centers safety, and fosters real accountability, rehabilitation, and healing.
About JUMP JUMP (Justice & Upward Mobility Project) is an innovative initiative inspired by the transformational journey of Larry Miller, Chairman of the Jordan Brand and Just Trust Board Member. JUMP leverages the power and influence of sports, entertainment, and culture to democratize opportunity and unlock access to education, employment, and economic mobility for justice-impacted youth and adults. We do that through innovative approaches to apprenticeships, coalition building, narrative change, and policy advocacy.
The Opportunity TJT and JUMP seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to serve as the operational quarterback, working in lockstep with the Managing Director. This is an opportunity to work with dynamic leaders in the Second Chance and justice reform space who bring unique and exciting lived experiences to inform and drive this innovative project. As a fast-paced start-up project, JUMP has both a high visibility and challenging opportunity to leverage its relationships in sports and entertainment to reshape the narrative and advance First and Second Chances for justice-impacted individuals. As a result, JUMP will develop bespoke programs, relationships, partnerships, and events to realize its mission and vision. In this role, you must be able adapt quickly and wear multiple hats to support the coordination and management of internal operations across JUMP’s fundraising efforts and its four programmatic areas: apprenticeship development, Second Chance coalition building, media and narrative campaigns, and policy advocacy. You will design and maintain tracking systems, manage timelines, and provide implementation support to ensure the successful execution of all JUMP’s programs and strategic goals. This is a high-impact role that requires both operational excellence and strategic thinking in partnership with the Managing Director.
The ideal candidate thrives The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, excels at managing multiple work streams simultaneously, and demonstrates genuine commitment to JUMP’s mission of creating pathways to opportunity for justice-impacted individuals.
